Firebird isn't working for me!

I am running Windows XP. My old Firebird was in C:\Program Files\Mozilla.org\Firebird\. I deleted the Firebird\ directory, download the new 0.7 Firebird and unzipped it to that directory. When I ran Firebird, I could not connect to any site. I think that Thunderbird is broken for me too. Everything was fine before I did this, and now nothing works. I tried different directories, deleting my profile (lost my bookmarks I think 🙁), the installer... nothing seems to work. Please help, I don't want to go back to IE!

I've noticed an interesting bug myself where it times out, oddly enough disabling the cache seemed to work. I've since re-enabled the disk cache.

For Firebird you need to create a new profile when you install a new version. Search the official site for information on that. The process for Thunderbird may be a bit more complicated but you can find that info on the main website also.
