Firearms 2.4 for HL. Firing Accuracy problems

When you fire in this mode the bullet or doesn't go anywhere near the reticle. I mean ANYWHERE near. Is this a problem in 2.4 and is it fixed in 2.5 b4 i start dl'g a 30+meg patch....
