Fire in the Okanagan now 112 square kilometers.

The fire started on Saturday and in the past 24 hours it has grown 90 square kilometers. A few of my friends have been evacuated and a few more are on evacuation notice. This fire is pretty damn scary.

I live in kelowna, its not really all that close, but some of my friends that live closer to the fire have been put on evacuation notice. I still have quite a few kilometers before it hits my place, and it has to leap 2kms over a lake to do it first.

With the rate its growing I am not sure it will be out, have had a couple friends evacuated, and 2000 more have been put on evacuation alert, its getting pretty scary.

Damn it looks like the ironman might not even happen because of the fire, and for some reason the BC forest service won't send the Martin Mars water bombers to help, they say that there is the threat of a fire in the area around Vancouver and they need them there just in case...
