But, more than that, the people in the house called to report the fire to ensure that it had been completely extinguished. If people were trying to burn evidence to cover up a crime, and the fire got a bit out of hand yet they were able to completely extinguish it without anyone knowing about the fire, why on Earth would they possibly call authorities to report it?
