Info Fire 8hd 2018 ota forced update to A9 FOS7 stop

Sadly Amazon have forced out a fire 7 os (android 9) on the 2018 fire 8hd.

Alexa is now like a robot and slightly slower, the speakers are 25% lower (like they say the 2020 8plus is) for all but alexa, you can not see tasks so can't use task killer and you can't see the CPU now

tinycore won't work so you can't find apps that slow your fire like "my clock"

It's bad, I use Alexa to read ww2 books and now its like android assistant and music is too low.

I hope there's a way to block this update or roll it back

Can I get my old fire 8 2018 back with a reset?

Also can I block the update URLs or better disable the ota app/service

Too add I have two new unopened fire 8 2018, I know when started they get a update for show mode and for SD card used as int storage.

I want the updates but guess it would go to fire 7.

Fire Toolbox may be able to help with blocking updates.

Reverting back to an older Fire OS may be tricky, not sure how to do it myself. But pretty sure a factory reset won't do it.

Thanks
I have a unused second fire same but os6
If i could back up its os i could put it on this tab
But i dont know how as im a pc guy
