Squaresoft will be releasing Final Fantasy XI for the PC. They released a banchmark to see how your system handles it.

I have no Seti or anything running in the back ground I just updated my drivers & I got 2582 though.

I think this "benchmark" would be more meaningful if it actually posted average framerates instead of meaningless 3DMark-esque numbers. Also I wonder whether this game is another worthless and unoptimised console port which is why it runs so slow.

I can't believe I sat through that.

I find it hard to believe this thing is real for the following reasons:

It plays music from ZELDA in the background. It's the music from the main menu. I loaded up the zelda rom to be sure and that's what it is. I half expected to push start and get the cool zelda overworld music.

It looks like it could run on a PS1.

Bring a fast system to its knees? What do you consider fast? A 486? I must've been pulling some 300 fps in that POS. It looks like crap. I've never seen so much popup in my life.

I really hate to bust your balls Pink0, but you are neither a Zelda nor a Final Fantasy fan and it's brutally clear. That music is definitely from Final Fantasy and definitely NOT from Zelda, trust me! I remember listening to that music on Final Fantasy more than I care to say and I've logged easily several hundred to a few thousand or more hours on both Zelda games and Final Fantasy games over the years. You my friend are sadly mistaken.
