Finishing my junior year..

I am finishing my junior year in college majoring in Information Systems, and i am not sure if i want to continue schooling or not. I have a 3.89gpa right now, and i am finished all of my major's courses. All i have left are general university graduation requirements for next year. I am attending University of MD, Baltimore County. UMCP's little brother.

The more i look at the employment opportunities in my area, the more doubt i have about my chances of getting a decent job after i graduate. I have thought about taking on another major, probably delaying my graduation by two years, or applying to grad school. I am not sure what i want to do. The end of the semester is approaching, so i have to really make a decision.

Is this what a typical college student goes through? I am having doubts about the past 3 years of my life in school, was it a waste of time? Grad school vs gettin another B.S.?? I am also gettin the "urge" of going to a private school, like mit or cmu.. lost and confused...

just get an technology internship at General Accounting Office or other govt. offices this summer and you will be offered a job by the time you graduate...tons of govt. contracting companies are hiring too around the Maryland, D.C., Viriginia area.

there IS a world beyond Maryland, you know. And with the biggest tech sectors being on the west coast, I think you're selling your opportunities short. If you want a job (especially in tech) when you graduate, you should consider looking outside your home turf. but if you don't want to leave, i guess i'd consider graduate school or something until the economy picks up.
