Hi everyone... I just finished the upgrades to my watercooling setup, so I thought I'd show them off to the people here at OC/processor forums. Special thanks goes to SharkyTM who has helped me so much I think he's blocked me :)

Here are the pic links, they are no glamour shots, but I took them as soon as I finished modding my case.

Link to Pic list

I'm running her stable right now at 39 C which is vast improvement from 48 C before on air.
In load I get 42C as opposed to 55 C on air.

Mind you that these temps do seem higher than others, but I live in Los Angeles where right now its 90 F ~ 32 C in the shade. So I consider these temps to be great.

Oh yeah here are my watercooling specs:

swiftech mcw462-uh
eheim 1250
BIX with two vantec stealth 12cm fans
Bay-Res
1/2" tubing all around :)

What kind of air cooling were you running before? And is this on your 2.4C @ 3?
Thanks.

Nice job going to h20, but you really need to clean up the inside of that case..it looks like sh*t. =)

the black ice rads have a shroud allready built in.....however it isnt a large one LOL but a gutted 120mm fan would do wonders :)
on a side note i went from a black ice xtreme to a D-tek core.....and saw no temp difference

Really...how did you manage to not drop your temps using a Heatercore vs. Black Ice rad? Must be an airflow problem....

Thanks.

Yep I'm up to 3ghz right now 5:4 ratio... I've lost GAT though... but my temps are still stable. I'll push her higher later on and I'll post the results.

Before I was using stock cooling and I was not oc'ed to 3ghz... only 2.6ghz 1:1 ratio

nice looking rig but two suggestions.........first one being two words...cable management clean up your wires soem and itll look ALOT better :)
and second you may really wanna ditch those plastic clamps and get some steel worm clamps since those plastic ones can "break down" over time more or less caused by stress.....besides i wouldnt trust plastic LOL
but nice rig none theless :)

I would post pics but i havent found out how to do em here yet

no air flow problem useing the same fan the rad is the only thing in my loop that changed. untill recently when i got a D-tek TC-4 rev. 2 block
but no i didnt see any difference.....but my wallet did :p

Yeah I don't see how a shroud would help more... plus I can't find any that would fit this BIX all the ones that people have been talking about are made for the d-tek custom radiators which are larger.

Also I've bumped my sytem to 3.25GHZ using 5:4, but I've had to bump the vcore to 1.6v on the cpu (over the default 1.525v).

The memory is still kicking at 2.6v at cas2-3-3-7 and the water still averages 42C, should I bump her even more?

Sandra shows 5800MB/s on mem test! woohoo!

nice setup ~ but i seriously doubt you need watercooling at only 3.2ghz.
these chips dont get hot til 3.4+ghz.... on quiet air.

:)

on a BIX you take an old 120mm fans cut out the support posts so you can gut it that way you got ONLY the outside box frame now you put the frame on teh BIX and your fan ontop of that and bolt it up and boom your done.........a shroud helps more by directing air over the entire rads core not the edges........basicly the shroud will help get rid of the dead air spot under the hub

If that looks like sh*t then my case must look like the toilet of a all night buffet at a Sizzler.

Going from a BIX to heatercore in my setup got me around a 5c decrease....that's why I'm so amazed....
