I played Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, the old (1992) LucasArts game and thoroughly enjoyed playing through it! Sadly, I got Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb (2003), but the horrible mouse + keyboard controls put me off completely. I left it and haven't played it again. I was wondering if there's any other good Indy game out there?

I played Indiana Jones and the Emporer's Tomb when it came out and thought it was ok (especially visually) but I didn't get very far (the controls also turned me off).

I tried to install it again a year or two ago but unfortunately it's one of those games that just refuses to re-install. Disc just spins and spins.

The mouse just lagged so much in Emperor's Tomb, I remember I had the mouse speed way up in the in-game options still it's was so slow it was really annoying!

there aren't any other indy games that lives up to what fate of atlantis was but if you enjoyed that style of adventure games, make sure you play day of the tentacle. that game and fate of atlantis are my favorite adventure games of all time.

Day of the Tentacle is good, as is Full Throttle. The Monkey Island games are fun too, the first one is my favorite.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Ahhh... the fond childhood memories of punching out Hitler. "I'm selling these fine leather jackets..."

Fate of Atlantis was great. I have played all of the Lucasarts adventure games, but that was my first one.

That was the last Indy adventure game though. There was going to be a sequel to it in the mid 90s, but it was cancelled. The newer Indy games are more like third person shooters from what I've heard. You could try the previous game, Last Crusade, which is a similar kind of adventure game. It's not nearly as good as Fate of Atlantis though.

I'll look into Indiana Jones and the the Last Crusade. Fate of Atlantis was just great. I mean the level in the Atlantis blew me away. Solving the epic puzzles in that level ,as well as avoiding the guards, traversing from one chamber to another incredible. Those were some of the best puzzles I've encountered in an adventure game! :)

I Googled a bit and there is actually one in the works! It's Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. It'll only be available on the consoles and not for the PC though. I checked out the trailer on Youtube and it says a Spring'2009 release. Here's the official website for the game:

the reason indy games after fate of atlantis were horrible was because they wanted to turn indy games into tomb raider games. i say scrap the whole 3rd person shit and go back to adventure style games.

100 percent agreed! I have had that thought cross my mind so many times.
