Everything seems to be working right and everything is plugged in the right place.

I did get the video card oem, and refurbished from newegg, but everything was in the box including manual cd and additional stuff.

The motherboard powers up fine and since i have the dfi sli-dr with frontx the diagnostic leds fills the bottom 3 lights which basically means that the vga was detected.

The heatsink fan on the card works too... i dont know where the problem is

i start the comp and get nothing on screen, the monitor doesnt get any signal. DO i need to flash the bios? do i need to put a windows cd in? help me please

Unplug all the front port wires from the mobo but the power button. Then try.
Soemtimes I've found one of these backwards will cause this.

If that doenst work, unplug everything but the bare necessities (all power plugs ect). Then plug things in one by one. I've done this many times, in your exact same situation.

What PSU are you using? I have read some articles in CPU (April 2005) PCtoday; and MaximumPC ... that the SLI boards need at least 510W PSU's to boot. The 3 boards tested in the CPU articles were all using 600W power supplies !! Yes fans will turn with less; but my guess is the power regulator; CPU and Chipsets need a bigger boost.

I had this similar issue but not using SLI. I found that it was the front panel connectors I was using to the mobo. (Antec p160, had to replace the case as the wiring inside the front panel was fubar)

Try disconnecting everything except the essentials (cpu, ram, vga, power, etc) and see if u can get a screen to appear.
