Or does anybody have a defunct Porter Cable FN250A I could scavenge parts from? Mine broke - a part of the nail guide split at the tip and the online parts list doesn't seem to have it available. I'll call tomorrow to be sure. Kind of pisses me off - it's a few years old, but not used very hard.

I knew it had problems - but of course I didn't actually look into it until I actually needed it

So - anybody? I think I'd like to go with an angled model this time.

you looking for a 16 ga or a 15?

I would try the repair shop first. The might be able to get parts for it.

I have the DeWalt 15ga angled and the Ridgid 15ga angled. I like them both, but prefer the Ridgid. It feels lighter and easier to use. I had a porter cable and it was tiring on my wrist.

I never like porter cable because the frickin nail hole is huge...I have a bostich but it has given me problems over the years with bad seals

I haven't given much thought to 15ga vs. 16ga The Porter Cable is 16ga - I suppose if I want smaller, I'll get a brad nailer someday.

I'm going to take it to a shop in town over lunch and see if they can get the part.

Ditto for me, I use a Bostitch 15 gauge.

Just got back from the Tool Hospital - the guys going to try to order it for me. But of course their computers are down at the moment.

He's never seen one failed the way mine is - though they replace this particular part (though not neccesarily on this model) fairly often because they get bent or broken if its dropped.
