Dawn soap wash, Meguiers Quick Clay, Wash, Mothers Polish and Sealer, Mothers Carnuba Wax, and Mothers Back to Black (not used in pics)

car turned out good. needs a few more times of back to black to get off the wax that the previous owner had done on the black trim, but its getting better. hopefully getting the front and rear bumper repainted.

update: did the interior with Meguiars plastic and vinyl protectant, that stuf works good. to bad it hits the window and makes all kinds of weird marks, need to get those off of my windsheild.

yesterday i did a fuel filter change, oil and oil filter replacement back to Mobil 1 5w30 synt.

today i will vaccuum it and maybe redo the protectant, dont know yet, as i also have to fix the window roller in the passenger side window.

i will also be waxing it once more before i go to school so as to protect the paint from it just sitting outside alll damn day.

Wow, your images are...nonexistent.

Yay, images! 🙂

Nice work on the Snaab, but I'm more impressed by the babying of your dad's Avalanche. 🙂

- M4H

thing has never been waxed in its life.

77K miles, 03, back to black on ALL of the plastic (like 1.5 bottles of it) he keeps the thing perfect. had 2 dents in it, and well, cousin took them out w/ his tools. its one shiny lil 77K mile car.

Good job 😀

heh, you edited out your link. i still think the avalanche is WAY to shiny for its own good, having never been waxed and having 76K miles

Back to Black sucks. They'll fade with a couple of washes. If you can find "Forever Black", give it a try. They last around 6 months. Nice job thou!

Very nice. How long did it take? I'm really looking forward to giving my GTI a big clean up. The car is black, so it requires the most work, but damn is it rewarding! Was going to use the same process as you with Mother's 3 Step

BTW, what do you use to clean the interior? Armour All and Turtle Wax are garbage, since they leave behind a residue of grease

armor all normally. but i havent done the inside yet. i get the thing dirty inside every day coming home from work, it sucks. will prolly do a full cleaning of it b4 i go to school interior. maybe wax it once more so it will withstand the rain snow etc better w/ outdoor parking.

i normally use like Tough Stuff stain remover on the carpet, 409, some sort of window washing stuff and i dont know what ill use on the plastic inside. as for the Faux wood paneling, i have zero clue.

Wow, your dad's car is CLEAN! :Q

should see the inside. if you were ever able to say a car was outstanding condition for KBB or edmunds, this car would be it. its insane how clean he keeps it.
