boy bands are fading, just look at last BSB album sales and pop tour revenues in general...looks like rock (not Limp Bizkit and white rap) is gaining some momentum with Staind and Tool touring and STP and few others releasing new albums >>



Bwaaahhahahahaha!!! I guess you have to be old enough to realize this, but EVERY new generation has a boy band of one sort or another.

Boy bands, be they groups, or a single boys aren't going ANYWHERE so long as there are preteen and early teen girls in the world.

Technically The Beatles were a boy band. But unlike most, they had talent.

Plus please don't call groups like N'Sync and BSB boy bands. They're not bands, they play no instruments thus they aren't bands. I personally call them dancing choirs.

Also fingerbang doesn't have anything on Pary Posse (Nelson, Millhouse, Bart, and Ralph) No one can beat that &quot;boy band&quot;

I think there's a difference between a 'boyband' and a band who's demographic are mainly preteens... with a boyband, there's no actual talent there... they audition for a role, and they fill a role. Each band has their 'cool guy', smart guy, bad boy, etc etc. But for other bands, like the Jackson 5, it was actually their musical talents that got them to where they were (they may or may not have been great, but at least they weren't found in auditions at malls or in parking lots).

LOL but that fingerbang is funny... i think i saw that episode. I like the Simpsons boyband episode too. Freaking hilarious stuff, i just find it unbelievable so many people take these bands seriously. Wasn't there some yahoo on here that thought he was a wannabe boyband? Claimed to have sold homemade CDs to kids at school? LOLOL at the schools i went to, he would have been the joke of the school.
