Finger picking vs. using pik?

finger picking here, pik only when i don't have nails or when i'm playing satriani type shizz

Depends on the type of music - acoustic type stuff I like finger picking, but the punk-style stuff I use a pick.

Fingerpicking is nice when playing something that uses individual notes a lot, for chords I use pik. But I prefer to fingerpick, double picking is a workout on the arm that doesnt have to be that way
