Finding the right codec, no sound jumpy pic

can somone please help me as i am having problems with finding the right codecs to play svcds and mpegs.
I have installed Nimos codec 5.0 pack build 9 beta1 and also divx 5.05 but still have the same problems. i am using power dvd 5 to play the files. when the files are played they have no sound and the pic is jumpy as if it was going slow or out of sync if some one can help please post
 
ditch all that crap. nimos pack is a bunch of waste imo. if u want to play divx/xvid just install ffdshow and an ac3 filter. for svcds powerdvd is already sufficient. you're probably cluttering your codecs but installing that nimo crap.
