finding older Mobos

I have an older machine that ran on an abit KA7 slot A mobo, its not my main machine it's just a linux box I like to run p2p clients off. Anyway, last week it's stopped running and I noticed that the large capacitors by the processor had melted (I think it was the power supply I swapped in their a few weeks back). Anyway, all the rest of the hardware including the processor appears to be ok, so I was going to just buy another ka7. After looking around on pricewatch and the like, I have been unable to find anyone selling a Ka7 or any other good slot A boards. Anyone know where I might find older mobos? I really don't want to upgrade to a whole new mobo/proc since it's just a back up anyway.

Post a 'WTB' or Wanted to Buy thread in the 'For Sale/For Trade' forum.

OR, you might be lucky and find someone selling one! 🙂

you could try and replace the caps, it will only cost you a buck or two and some time, and it might work 🙂

Hmmm... I didn't know the caps could be replaced. But who sells capacitors, and would you have to solder them on? I am not sure I am good enough with a soldering iron for that kind of percision, its pretty small scale.
