Finding info on a dead relative.

A few months back my mothers aunt was murdered. The whole situation is chaotic....and we even know who did it...but no witnesses ect and tey are getting away with murder basically.

anyway main point of this question is she had a safety deposit box..but no one in the family knows where its at. Is there anyway to find out where it was placed?

Go through her paperwork and find out? Not really sure how else to do it.

Safety deposit boxes cost money, tpyically an annual fee. Go through her check register and/or cancelled checks. Alternatively, the box may be held at the bank which she had accounts in and the fee was deducted. A line item on a statement would indicate this. Most people open safety deposit boxes in banks that are accesiable to where the individual lives. Do some research on what banks were within her general area. Start making some calls. Now, the by-the-book folks may claim that no banker worth salt would simply reveal this information, but with a compelling story (which you have) and a persuasive manner, you will get people to look this up.

I was about to ask if she had a bunch of huge lumps in the backyard that looked like piles of buried gold and silver.

How many banks are close to her home or work?

Where does she hold her regular savings and checking accounts? This is where her safety deposit box is probably located.

You probably won't be able to access it unless you have a certified death certificate and can prove you are a relative.

well i did a search from what hot chic sent. And found some info....but the address does not exist anywhere in miami. go figure back to square one.
