Finding apartments in Tijuana, Mex?

I've been looking forever on where to find a decent, or even a little slummy apartment in Tijuana. I've searched for quite a while now, asked realtors here (in L.A.), even posted on the Tijuana info forums, found nothing. I was going to go down there last week and just set out on a search for one, but if you've been there you probably know how illegitimate(sp?) a lot of things are there. Does anyone happen to know a site, #, or company with a good reuptation that rents out apartments in that area? or anyone on here live in TJ and know what areas are best for semi-beloved patriot renters? any help would be appreciated.. thanks..

just wanna have an extra place down there, instead of getting hotels everytime we go there, me and a few of my friends would be splitting the cost of an apt every month, and since I'm only in school one day a week this semester... I'd kinda-sorta live there. It's hard to explain, we just love tijuana, theres just something about it... @..@

ah yes.. i must add, preferrably apartment complexes either close to Ave De Revolucion, or up in the hills on the residential side... and nowhere near Zona Norte.. (the hooker/crack spots) There has to be someone on this forum from Tijuana

I agree, Tijuana is super fun to go. It's a totally different culture than here... everyone is so loose and relaxed. You can do just whatever you want, it's definately worth a trip down there if you've never been.

Start calling realtors in National City. They'll know...
