Finding an older imac for rents

I bought my parents an Imac G3, the one with a bubble as a base. The problem is I bought it from a crappy refurbished reseller and had nothing but problems with it. it was sad for me because I was so happy my parents were atleast learning to use a computer and finding information for themselves. I want to get them another Imac but dont wanna spend more than 500. Can you guys suggest anything? I've been looking on ebay but once again am hesitant.

Personally, i would recommend the iMac G4 as a cheap old Mac. All but the slowest of them can run Leopard, and they have FireWire and USB 2.0.
