Find P3 speed

I have a P3 CPU I pulled from a Dell mobo that was dead. Is there anyway I can find the speed by looking at the processor itself?

look for the code which usully begin with SL example,SL3VH then goto intel website to find the specs of the processor

Thank you. The is a bunch of writing on it, so it should be simple. Thanx again

If It's a P3 there should be the label gtjr was talking about, then there is a 2nd label that should say "Intel '(2 digit year) (country of manufacture). Then below that should read something like 1000/256/133/1.75V Meaning it is a 1GHz/256KB cache/133MHz fsb/ 1.75 voltage.

Found it... 866/256/133/1.75v Thanks...that's pretty SLOW huh?! Now all I need to do is find a mobo and RAM to go with it 🙁

Still close to the fastest P3....... and not far from the first Pentium 4's (1.4GHz, etc)
