Find out when computer restarted? (Shut down during the middle of the night)

I had two instances of Prime95 running all night long on my father's new 4800+ X2. It was running great for about 2 hours before I went to bed... I woke up this morning and the computer was just sitting at the windows desktop... no prime95's opened. I'm assuming the computer crashed and restarted at some point in the night. Trying to see how long Prime lasted before crashing.

I just don't understand how prime could work great for 2+ hours, but crash at 8 hours or so.

Try looking at the Event Viewer in the control panel. See when there are no logs made for an extended period.

Ah Ha! Thanks for the suggestion, Bassyhead. According to my event viewer, in the System section... at 3:00:50 am, approximately 9 hours after Prime95 was running, I found this event:

"Restart Required: To complete the installation of the following updates, the computer will be restarted within 5 minutes:
- Update for Windows XP (KB898461)
- Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1"

Looks like Windows Update pulled a fast one on me. At least I know the system didn't crash after 9 hours of prime.
