I'm really wanting to move out there. I've lived in GA all my life and have a friend out there who really likes it. I know the weather isn't the greatest, but the same can be said about the humidity here. I have a degree in business from back in 2000.

After work I will pour out some for all my unemployed homies...

with a degree in business, you should just go to one of the large bank firms and get a job with them

use your network from GA to find connections in portland
 
Apparently people are moving to Maine if they are widening the turnpike. On the other hand i've only been on one full commuter flight out of Porland's airport.

I did an internship with them. From that experience, I learned that I wouldn't want to work there.

Four years later I was talked into interviewing with PTD. Even before lunch I had re-affirmed that it's not a place where I'd want to work. My experience with the "Intel environment" is that people are treating one another disrespectfully in an effort to further their own ego or career.


Intel also secretly sets aside something like 7% of its annual revenue to support the clubbing of baby seals.

I hate to say it, I grew up in and love Portland... but you really have to consider the weather...
I just cannot take the neverending gray gloom of winter there....

I've been with Intel for four years now, and I definitely can't say the same thing about the people I work with... Or even when I worked with PTD.

Yes, it's a very fast-paced, very competitive environment. And yes, the strong personalities and acheivers get the recognition. But I certainly see no disrespect amongst peers.

Summers in Portland are great. The remaining 9-months sucks ass! Why I moved to Cali!

I hate the Heroin addicts, the hood on the West-Side down by Alberta St., the hippie wann-be losers who hang out downtown at Pioneer Square.

I loved the abundance of tittie bars including the Dolphin, Steak at the Acropolis, and Stars in Beaverton!


Take your resume and post it in the Portland area with some recuriters in your field.
