Find me a BETTER video game theme song than Max Payne 2

Probably like Zelda or some old classic SNES RPGs (crono trigger, secret of mana, etc) all have good music.

the theme song for max Payne 2 is by a Swedish band, not the game studio itself. the creator of the game asked the band to write a song for them and he gave them a poem he wrote, which was then turned into lyrics by the band

I don't think it really counts because it's not done by the game studio itself, but I guess it depends on how you look at it.

I think Command and Conquer: Red Alert has an awesome soundtrack. Frank Klepacki is great

Lyrics? Band? Are you sure you're thinking of the purely-orchestral MP2 theme I'm referring to?

Have you guys played Zelda: Ocarina of Time?

That game has such good music that you would make mp3s out of them and listen to them when not playing the game. The theme music of Zelda has always been amazing.
