Find anyone, including their criminal record?

I have seen and heard it on T.V., and on the web. Some places even say you can find anyone, even if they have an unlisted number, p.o. box, etc. So, I'm curious, if it's true, and where you look, if it's possible. How can you review somebody's criminal record, as an example. Actually, I do have a suspicious person in my life, indirectly. Id like to know more about him, since his relationship with our family affects someone of kin, who I am close to.
Can this be done? ( personally, I see this guy as a pedophile. Instinct tells me this guy ain't right)

only thing ive seen about that was some lame popup that claimed to find information on people...seemed pretty scammy

are criminal records public? i think you can goto the police station and check the pedofiles on record

Yea I know sorry I used to know a couple of places that where free but they are gone or long forgotten. But I am sure there are some sights around. Maybe somebody could pm or e-mail my good buddy Steve the info? And the free sites probably are well hidden so they don't get swamped with traffic. Or worse The Anand affect. There is a great deal of public information about anybody, only they dont make it easy to find it. You can find criminal history/driving record/voter registration/address/phone number/driving record/names and same info on their roommates. Often, people in news media and private investigation have access to these types of information, and you you may have access to as well, only the info isnt free.

Just go to Yahoo people finder, they have links to sites that charge for the information.

Criminal records are public, just go to a police station and ask for someone's record and they will give it to you.
