It's totally stuck in my head and I've talked to three guys today that know it, but none of us can remember exactly where we heard it.
Can't find it looking for game show songs, elevator music, intermission music....
my google-fu sucks,

It's just a mild brass horns song that would be used for comic effect in a show like family guy, think I've also heard morning zoo hosts use it.

No, but they're kind of in the same ball park. The style of music is similar.
The song I'm thinking of is way more mellow... It's totally like old school elevator music.
