I'm currently trying to run the find-a-drug client as a screensaver. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I'd read over at their forums how to get it working, but it still seems flaky. Their forum is down right now, so I can't check. Does anyone have any solid instructions to get the client to come on as a screensaver reliably?

I'm guessing it may be an OpenGL problem. If it has a problem, it will exit immediately. Try disabling it by open think.env in Notepad and adding the line THINK_OPENGL=0

Is there an alternative to having the process start when away? I do not want it to run while I'm at the computer. (Yes, I know it's not supposed to interfere, but I can't view my actual cpu usage when it's running.)

Under SetUp set both THINK Graphics and Job Queue to: Hidden. Click on Update. I do realize that CPU useage will show high but I just tried using MBM and there were times that my CPU useage did in fact go down. Keep in mind that many computer tasks use very few CPU cycles. FAD in my opinion is very good in releasing CPU cycles when needed. I fly FS 2002 and notice very little difference when running FAD and not running FAD. "Your mileage may vary!!

FAD truly yields to other operations. Almost too easily. When I ran D2OL with it FAD stopped completely.

I realize most of the time the cpu is idle. However, I keep an eye on my cpu usage for when an application starts using more cycles than it should (like if I leave an IE window with shockwave running, weatherbug screws up, or I forget to turn off AVS in winamp. :))

I still haven't made much progress with this thing. It works fine if I test it out, but when I go to bed, it doesn't come on for some reason or another. I've tried the opengl trick to no avail.

Well, for once I have no idea what the problem might be. Only thing I can think of is asking over on their forums. You should get a response rather quickly.
