financial accounting intro?

does anybody know of a good source to get the "basics of financial accounting" or something like accounting 101 online?

just want a small book or lecture series/ pdf/ powerpoint or something?

well yeah i did look at google. and you get 100's of different things. but i want something that someone may have read and can RECCOMMEND.

it's like if i was asking for a new computer and you send me a google link with "new computer" as the query.

IMO, best thing to do is go to a local Barnes&Noble when you got some time and skim through the books there... good luck.

small issue: i'm in pakistan currently 🙂

we have bookstores and i can easily get really cheap books, but that woudl require reading a big fat textbook rather than go through some slides/ easy summary deal. just want the basics, no 300 page book!

then all you need to know is you buy rice for the market price and sell it for the market price, and pay the peasants who do the work nothing. and there isnt any tax. 😛
