Finance Majors

Just a few quick questions for any finance majors(graduates) here:
what does your normal day of work consist of?
Was it difficult to find a job opening?
Whats the starting pay like fresh out of college?
Is a masters much more benifical than a BA?

I was a finance major in college (and management was my double major). I do not work in the field of finance, even though my employer's name may make an impression of it (World Bank). A master's degree is beneficial because most entry level jobs in the financial industry can also be done by management, accounting, marketing majors too. Where do you go to school? What kind of employment do you desire post-graduation? For reference, my friend who also was a finance major now works for Goldman Sachs and AFAIK makes more than $65K in his 2nd year.

Right now I go to a commuter school, but will have my AA degree and will be transferring to some University throughout florida( im also wondering which florida school has the best finance program) Im not sure what kind of employment Iam seeking. All I know is that everything that I think finance is, I seem to heavily enjoy.

There's investment banking, financial advising, insurance sales, etc. IBanking can pay well, lots of work. Financial advising will start out slower, but if you work hard you can pull in ~$1million/year in around 10-15 years time.

I'm majoring in finance, doing an internship at Merrill Lynch this summer, as far as your questions:
1. Normal day of work......there is none totally dependant on what you do (investment banking, s&t, corp fin, etc....)
2. Difficulty of finding a job.....depends on your school, I goto one of the nations top business schools so companies recruit like madd here and we have near 100pct of our grads have atleast one job offer before graduation(most before end of 1st sem sr. yr)
3. Pay? Again i goto a top school so this might be biased but with my bachelors in i can expect 60k-100k starting (60k for corp fin to 100k for investment banking).
4. Masters - Get a few years of work experience b4 applying to an MBA program
