Understood but you have to understand my $1,200 budget... I'm already a bit over it - realy don't want to go any further

Yeah, I get that.

Newegg seems to be out of it currently but the Lian Li PC-7B goes for about $90-100, you can also get a Forton-Source PSU for $35-40. All in all it would end up being a bit more the Antec combo but much better in my opinion.

Also for the $50 price range I wouldn't even consider 5.1 speakers. That?s less then $10 per speaker, its going to sound like crap. Go with a pair of 2.1s.

That's like building a fast turbo charged engine and installing it in a car with wore out tires, because... "I'm already a bit over it - realy don't want to go any further"
Seems like everyone here starts building their system from the top down, instead of the right way.

I agree. Every build I do that breaks $800 gets a Lian Li, or CoolerMaster AL case along with a Forton-Source or Seasonic PSU.

Should I change to this RAM? only $10 more

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145590

Plan to overclock? If not then don't get that RAM, $10 is $10, don't waste it. but it's up to you.
I don't plan on overclocking

but if it will improove my computer (non overclocked) why not

I'm not sure if it will unless you overclock that RAM, personally I'm getting that RAM.

Still wondering what RAM I should get...

and I have never heard anyything about this motherboard - other than whats on its official page... is it a good choice?

Do you mind waiting to get a rebate? If not, then I would get it. Otherwise, I would not

I would get Xp Pro insted of home and a MX 518 insted of the razer. and that cpu is out of stock just letting you know

It hasn't been released yet which would explain this.

It looks to be a pretty good build there, lots of good quality components and finally someone who is actually going to stay with their budget - I tip my hat to you.

I would go with the DDR2 800, I think that cpu can support it. (btw, the cpu is out of stock at your link)

The motherboard looks fine. Intel has a good feature set, expecially if you don't overclock.

I would get XP Home for you as you probably won't use the features that are missing:
Here's a site that lists them:
http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_home_pro.asp

Do you really need them? And I don't mean "Hey, that's cool, I have to try that some time". The question is, do you use them now.
