Calm down man - it's just a test. Had my first final today, didn't go as well as I'd hoped but still - just take it easy and you'll do fine.

Still living with mommy, huh ?

Actually I am married, so I get to live through the embarrasment of having my wife see me puke all over the lawn upwards of 15 time per semester.

And yes I it is a "just" test but my grades determine my worth as a person and also govern the path my life will take.

You are missing the point, that grades form the only objective basis for a society based on social darwninsm, meritorcracy and intellectual elitism.

Having said that, no one gets sick on test day. See, I wrote this post knowing I was the only one. I am truly a sad sad person.

If you go into a test really worried about it and you're feeling sick, do you really think you will do as well as taking it relaxed? If you learn to not think of the test as life and death you'll be better off.

You are really confused about society. No one except you gives a flying fvck about your grades. Maybe your first employer MIGHT care that you got a 3.8, or he might only care that you got a degree. Your friends won't care about your grades. If you go to court, the judge won't care. The guy checking you out at the supermarket doesn't care. You are the ONLY one who cares.

I am truly a sad sad person.

It looks that way.

Then you show up and get all nasty and serious. Now I am sorry you failed out of trade school or high school or your Ph.d program and work at some job you hate, but thats no reaason to come in and runny a nice little dainty thread.

P.S In acadamie others do care about your itellectual ability and how you perform.

After you get a first "real" job out of college, no one is going to care what your GPA is. Sure, a higher GPA may help you get that first job... after that it is all about how you can perform on the job, work habits, how well you can get along with co-workers (not @ss kissing so much as being able to cooperate well), etc. By the time you are looking at mid to senior level positions... no one gives a flying fsck what your GPA was.

Generally getting a college degree is like getting a little rubber stamp "This person can learn a system... oh, and they may have learned some relevant knowledge, too".

They are important, I agree, but you can't get stressed about them. It doesn't help.

Yea i have 3 finals, 1 is in class tomorrow.

aside from that, i have finals on the first 2 exam dates at 8am! i hate gettin up early! So i'm gonna most likely stay up all night and take the test, then sleep, then study and stay up again and take my last one.

i have problems sleeping any time before like 2 oclock, and if i only get a few hours of sleep i feel crappy. also, if i know i have to get up early, i have some anxiety problem where i can't fall asleep easy either, even if i'm tired. so i am most likely stayin up all night both nights.

i am worried about my last one too, cause i bombed my last exam in that class. and i need to pass this class in order to graduate may 20th :( so i gotta buckle down.

to all with finals, good luck :)
