Really? Sweet.....I've been using a 9700 Pro and 9800 Pro, but the drivers for them are so lame on most modern games that they are slower then even 5700 Nvidia Cards....

This will tide me over until I get SLI on my new AMD64 box I'm building when the 6800 GT PCI E's come out after New Years (told by my rep at EVGA)

:)

At my store I get that card for like 320. Is that price including tax? I have been deciding between the 01 and 05 myself. The problem I have with the widescreen is it looks like crap if you dont run it at its native resolution. I also dont like how it just looks smooshed down when watching tv or just doing every day tasks. You can see that im leaning towards the 01.......

I dont think it looks like crap. I made this comment in several threads. I was completely taken off guard by its ability to scale.

I cant tell when its @1024x768 and its stretched to fill the whole screen. I play many games like this because I have a GF4 4200.
I will say this: my success is due largely to my Nvidia drivers. I cannot vouch for ATI because I sold my 9800 Pro months ago. But I would not doubt if they had great results with this LCD as well.

I play Pirates!@ 1152x??? and it is the same. I dont play as low as 800x600 but I have loaded Doom3 at that res and I cant tell... but that game is notorious for looking beautiful at low res anyway..

Nice upgrade! I want a 2005FP, alas they are quite pricey still.

Re: gaming on the LCD: lower resolutions on LCD's usually look great; it's only windows usage and text that looks like @ss.

It's a special pricing for partners of EVGA...it's $350 and $9 shipping....no tax cause we are out of state. I have no doubt that retailer or OEM's might get it cheaper.

I'll also be getting full retail copies of DOOM3 and Farcry...so that's a pretty decent price.

It's $50 less than any reputable retailer I've seen.
