I pretty happy with how it came out to. hers some pics with before and after shots and a couple oshots of a practice piece i did with the paint to show you the spectrum of colors that the paint has. Depending on lighting and angle it will change color.

Search for "Hobbytron" in the Hot Deals Forum. Why? I have the same setup except I got my Window precut for a 120mm fan oh yea why? cause I got 2 4" CC tubes put one directly under the PSU and one taped to the top of the case in the middle and Wow does my Case Shine! cost me $20 for 2 4" CC and inverters. and the results are fantastic! the 4" actually are fun cause they fit just about anywhere (no not in your @ss sick-O's)

Oh one more thing Get some Antec (directron.com) LED Fans for the back and possibly for the HS if you can put an 80mm on it. I got the cheapos that SVC sells they are alot less but they also just blink with 2 LED's not as nice as the Antecs IMO

NesuD, nice job, however, what color did you paint it? A metallic purple? Hard to tell from the lighting in the photos.

By the way, your mod consisted of painting the case and adding the cathode. Anything else?

color depends on the lighting and angle. I have identified 5 distinctly different colors that appear under varying conditions ranging from a silvery/green to a deep metallic purple. Sorry if your disappointed at what i considered a mod PIG. That paint required 3 different steps with a minumum of 3 coats for each step. I did 6 coats on two of them. The windowed side panel i bought premade since the price premade was virtually identical to what materiels would have cost me to do it myself. The cold cathode was a simple slap in. Cabling is the next step. Considered putting my sidepanel fan in form the ols side panel but decided it was unneeded. There is also a fanbus and temp moniter for the vid card in the lower 2 5 1/4" bays that i didn't picture.

Looks great!

What type of paint and applicator did you use?

I've got a plain white full tower that I've been contemplating painting black or charcoal grey, but I haven't really looked into it enough to determine what kind of paint to use.

I Used Dupli-color Mirage silver/green spray paint. It is a 3 step paint system here is a link to their web page if you want to check it out.
