After starting a miserable yet unsurprising 0-9, they are now 17-18 and seventh place out of 8 available playoff spots. Chicago is starting to buzz again and bandwagon jumpers are calling into the sports radio talk shows. The ship be floating again.

One of the most unselfish passing teams in the league imo, and almost everyone can shoot the ball, and its atypical for any one player to take more than 15 shots in a game.

First in the league in defensive fg shooting % at a low 38%.

Great job Skiles.

Prediction, 5th playoff spot in the fairly weak east. :)

***UPDATE 4/9***

It's official, the Bulls have clinched a playoff birth! As a team they continue to lead the league in defensive field goal percentage as well as have the highest scoring bench in the league. Currently the Bulls are the 4th seed in the east and will likely play Indiana Pacers or Washington Wizards. And if they continue to win, they will have home court advantage in atleast the first round.

Go Bulls!!!

Agreed. This team is really rolling right now. Plus, they are the youngest team in the league, so hopefully they get the major pieces locked up.

Indeed. They needed to get some chemistry and identity going. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Chandler is single handidly carrying my Fantasy team in the blocks category :)

Dude is a shot blocking machine.

Not back to the untouchabulls level yet, doubt they ever will, but those young bulls are finally kicking some ass. They might make the playoffs.

sounds fine to me- maybe in another 25-30 years, the east might have a ghost of a chance at a title again. go kings!

Reinsdorf says he would like to, so that is a great start and pretty exciting actually. But there are about 6 that would be great to keep, almost too many: Curry, Chandler, Heinrich, Gordon, Deng, and Nocioni, but fortunately not all contracts are up at once.

Paxson deserves credit too of course. Just think if he hadn't drafted another top point guard in Heinrich right after he drafted Jay Williams #1, who may not play in the nba again... or if he took ncaa player of the year TJ Ford instead of heinrich, who's out for the year and maybe even longer...

It was a sad day when Krause traded Brand for him, but even tho Brand is an outstanding player, it looks like Chandler is (or may become) able to completely change the game when he's on the court. Perhaps some redemption for Krause.

If he starts consistently knocking down that outside shot that he's been taking lately, or get an inside offensive game, he's going to be on the court more and be an even greater factor.

I was at the game on Saturday... what a finish!

Redemption is so sweet -- especially since I've been a faithful follower through all these years of futility. :)

Can you at least wait till thay make the playoff at least ??
I mean back from what ??

Just remember that in this 7 game winning streak, none have been against a team with a winning record.
Their best player is a 2nd year player.
What do you honestly think they can do with mostly rookies and 2nd players on the team ??
Why don't you wait a couple of years before annoucing "they're back".

the bulls actually have a chance to sneak into the playoffs in the weak eastern conference.

they're on a 7 game winning streak. they haven't really played any good teams during the streak. they play ATL and BOS next, which they may be able to win. but then they meet the Pistons again

How about 14 of their last 18, several against winning teams. They have a lot of talent and potential, and they've accepted the team concept and the fruits are showing, and they can now compete with most teams in the league, which is not only exciting, but a relief after years of pain!

Their rookie and 2nd year players are far from typical, they are very disciplined, fundamentally sound, fairly consistent, and very unshakeabull. They will do some damage this year, and they have done some already with little experience.

February will be very difficult, mostly away games against very good teams, and it will be a good test, or atleast growth period. And gotta worry about the rookie wall too.

I never said they didn't have talents.
They're becoming a very good team and the key word is becoming.
As I was saying, team do not go anywhere with mostly rookies and 2nd yr players.
Give it a couple of years and post this thread.

man, it brings a tear to my face to see the bulls doing well.. the last couple seasons were horrible. It'd be nice for everyone if they made 6th or 7th seed. Hopefully Curry and Chandler dont expect max contracts..

I sure as hell hope they start things up again. I haven't watched ONE basketball game since Jordan retired the second time. I was an avid Bulls fan too (Chicago local).

Fyi, being "back" officially refers to becoming a playoff team again, which they are in line for and will become this year. Consider this thread a 'corporate pre-announcement' statement on this years earnings. ;)

You know what I'm talkin' about, my friend.

Question: Who is worth more, Curry or Chandler and who gets the bigger contract? And on top of that, is Captain Kirk worth the most, the leader and straw that stirs the drink?

On a side note, the nba players contract is up this year with the league and some expect the max contracts to be reduced from 7 years to 5, which could work in the bulls favor to sign players.

i haven't watched the Bulls too often, but Hinrich is a stud. he's worth keeping, imo.

Ben Gordon is a pretty sweet scorer off the bench and Noccioni looks like he's got some potential. the bulls definitely have some talent.

Chandler is more valuable. IMHO. He's an better defensive player and can swing between PF and Center depending on the line up. Curry has a great touch and runs really well for a big guy, but he could be easily replaced by another big guy who would rebound better and defend better.

The Spurs are acutally interested in Chandler right now. The Spurs have one of the best chances at running at the Championship. If they are interested in you, that means you have some value.
