Better picture of #6, had to manual focus.

Yeah, sorry if you can't see everything, because it was dark when I took the photo, and apparently the Canon Powershot A85 doesn't have nightvision (hey, I didn't buy that camera, its my sisters :), no pics)... I was taking photos without the LCD... The last photo gave me a WTF on how much winds can move...

But yeah, my area went out for 12 hours, but apparently everyone across the main street near me is still out. We're expected to have more winds too. But yeah, I heard from several miels away this sound, where if it made a noise, the power went out. Now I know that there's a electricity area a few miles from me, so is it possible I heard that? It was a big bang, and it did it several times.

Update: Apparently everyone across the major street in my area is going to have a blackout for two days... ROFL... sucks for them really.

I couldn't help but laugh at this, just because of the wind damage I still see from Katrina.

But yeah, high winds can mess up quite a bit of stuff. By electricity area, do you mean a power substation? If so, you might have heard some popping sounds come from there. I used to live next to one, and if you heard something that sounded like a gun shot, it meant the power was going out.

Were there any deaths from this storm?

No deaths IIRC, but a lot of area north and south of me got taken out... And yeah, it was a power substation, popping a lot...

As for my area, Shoreline, WA.

The problem with this is that Washington State does not expect wins like this...Florida is prepared for hurricanes because they are expected...this is why this is such big news.

Don't appreciate the fact that people are working their asses off getting the electricity back up running and I'm grateful they did get at least mine and several thousand?
Other thread said that 1,000,000 were effected, that's a crapload.
