As the subject says finally someone has filed a lawsuit against the RIAA. It's about time someone went on the offensive in this game.

mp3's are a simple format, unlike wma, thats why they are popular. They are a frame by frame type of recording, if i'm not mistaken.

Actually all Aimster does is adds file transfer to AIM. It's not a file search and download program like Napster. It's just like the file transfer function in ICQ!

Next thing you know, the RIAA will want attaching files to emails to be made illegal! :p

You know it, Johnny GURU. MP3s are not overhyped. When was the last time you saw a vinyl record? Within 10 years, you will say the same thing about (music) CDs. I can understand that the RIAA needs to try to protect their copyrights, but shame on them for not having enough vision in their own industry to identify a better business model and lead the revolution. They have themselves to blame.
