Finally setup my GoPro video camera on my bike. Edit-New vid added!

That's cool, something I might like to do someday. How many minutes of video does that 4GB card capture?

That vid was 136MB. They advertise that the 2GB card will hold 56 minutes worth of video. I need to flash the camera's bios so that it will recognize the 4GB card, once I do that I'm looking at almost 2 hours worth of video.

Very nice. Gotta love being able to share the ride.

Maybe we should start some sort of AT Garage group for riding/driving videos.

Gah, stupid Californians and their inclement weather...

<-- Seattle area rider, and yes, it's raining again

It's cool that your camera allows snapshots, I'll be running highway 20 a couple times this summer, thought it would be cool to do like a 5 sec time lapse. There are also some good twisties deserving of footage. How is the battery life? Is there anyway to hook up the camera directly to a tv?

I don't ever, EVER again want to see you post anything remotely close to being a "citizen police" on the topic of people's driving habits. Finally, the end to your bitching about stupid people on the road.

I think I'm pretty fair in my opinions on other people's driving habits...and I defy you to find a single post where I commented on someone driving a little over the speed limit for a short period of time. 80mph is average on the freeways around here. Barely a day goes by that I'm not hitting 80mph on whatever vehicle I'm driving.

It isn't the HD one but I didn't really care. This is just for fun and not movie making.

That's fine because there is resolution and there is picture quality, and they are NOT the same thing. Your standard definition video had pretty decent picture quality.

Nice vid. Not so nice Kalifornia stop. 😉
Just giving you crap Jules.
Your mic is clipping. Might want to get a wind gaurd for it. (feather duster looking thing)

I wasn't QQing his speed.

Just enjoying the wonderful world of the UK... where cops can use videos of you speeding on youtube against you...

(they have actually tracked people down and arrested them)

That's crazy...how would they be able to prove that the person who posted was the one who broke the law?

See, in reality, I'm the one who never leaves his parent's basement...this was just some vid of a complete stranger I've never met doing something that I've always dreamed of doing but am too scared to do. I just copied it up to my youtube account and took credit for it. 😉 😛

A motorcyclist who posted footage of himself performing dangerous stunts and speeding at up to 130mph on internet site YouTube was today jailed for 12 weeks.

Sandor Ferenci, 28, performed wheelies, skids and raced on the opposite side of the road around Banbury, Oxfordshire, and then put the footage on the video-sharing website.

Ferenci was also disqualified from driving for two years and ordered to take an extended driving test before he is allowed on the road again after pleading guilty to two counts of dangerous driving at Oxford Crown Court.

Judge Terence Maher told Ferenci that he had carried out "lunatic and grossly irresponsible manoeuvres at considerable speed".

The court heard that Ferenci, a carer, was spotted performing wheelies on his Yamaha R6 bike on the A422 Banbury to Brackley road on June 10 this year.

Brian Payne, prosecuting, said a motorist saw Ferenci's antics, which caused another driver to have to brake sharply, and took down his registration number.

He later contacted police, who traced Ferenci to his home in Fulwell Close, Banbury.

The court heard that when officers called at his home, before they had a chance to say anything to him, Ferenci asked them: "Is this about the YouTube video?"

Police then discovered that he had posted the video clips of himself on the internet.

The footage, which was played to the court, had been filmed by a friend from various angles including from a footbridge.

In this case the video had several angles... but the onboard didn't show the speed.

Essentially the video convicted him, although I didn't realise that his reg had been reported to the police, which is what got him caught in the first place.

I have that camera, those 2 AA rechargeable batteries won't last that long anyways.

Jules, are they cracks or shadows on the road surface? I'm not sure since you seem to bumping around a bit on the bike, suggesting that the road surface isn't very good.
