When the screen went dark, I though OK, intermission time!

I wish they had gone with the original 6-month interludes, but then that would cut profit margins, wouldn't it? Not to mention pitting 2 films from the same trilogy against each other for awards. Can't wait for TT...Helm's Deep and the Storming of Isengard :rool:: Oops, I mean, um...yeah...some cool battle scenes...heh. Go read the books.

In actual fact fellowship the book ends on an even softer note. The death of Boromir takes place in the second book (first chapter I think). So basically to be true to the books take the movie minus boromir's death and that is the book.

yes, except for the fact that Boromir dies in the first few pages of the second book. other than that, it's pretty accurate
