I've only seen two ever and they were both coworkers with 900's. The both quickly traded them in for Androids, both complaining that the Windows phone seemed like it was 'for kids'.
I have the HTC 8x which I'm test driving, nice little phone but not a replacement for my Note 2. After eating steak for a couple months switching is difficult!
I only know one other person in real life other than me who has a Windows Phone and he just got it (Lumia 820) from T-Mobile.
I've only seen one other Lumia, a 920, "in the wild", just some random person a few months ago, and other than that I haven't seen anyone using Windows Phones.
I spent the last five years living in seattle...as you can imagine, I saw a LOT of them around. Since moving back to Philly that number has dwindled, but I've actually met two people already at my new office with Lumia 920's...they are definitely getting more common.
I actually know a number of people with Windows Phones. I know one person with a Lumia 800, one with a Samsung Focus, one with a Lumia 920, one with a Lumia 900 (and a 920 for his wife), and one with a Lumia 820. Also, there was someone with an HTC Arrive that recently upgraded to an iPhone 5.
I've had an HTC HD7, HTC Titan, and now a Nokia Lumia 920.
My nephew has a Lumia 900.
Roommate has a Lumia 920.
Two close friends have 920s, as well.
Aunt has a Lumia 820.
Went on a blind date with a girl last night, she bizarrely had a Lumia 822.
I usually don't pay enough attention to notice, but I definitely saw a girl a few weeks ago with a Lumia 920. It was pretty obvious, considering it was incredibly yellow.
Haven't seen one in the wild yet. I thought about getting them for my parents at fire-sale price (if that happens, which seems likely), but I think even fire-sale won't be enough for those who're used to iOS or Android.

Although the reaction of people for WP has been more or less positive I've hardly seen anyone with one(although I've recommended many people to get one)
A friend was flaunting his new Lumia 710 the other day
I have seen a few but certainly more Androids. I am actually going to break the mold and say I quite like Windows Phone. I may consider getting one as my next phone, the only thing holding me back is all the apps I already have for Android.
My neighbor has the Nokia version through Verizon. I have spent some time with it and I could see me using this over my current iPhone easily. I would have to make sure all of my apps were available for Windows Phone first, but I prefer the interface to what iOS is currently offering.
Read an article online about a rumor that there will be a $25 credit from Microsoft Store with Lumia 928. Nokia has a promo video comparing the 928 camera with Galaxy S III and IPhone 5 while on a rollercoaster at night. According to the lot of the online articles, Lumia 928 will be launched May 15th, maybe. Just some FYI. I am kind of interested in this phone.
I have seen only one. A co-worker. Oddly (well, maybe not so odd) I have seen dozens of S4 and Ones in the wild. My friend has a 920 but she only got it for the look, not windows. She knows nothing about smartphones.
I've seen a few. Saw a guy with a focus at the car shop, saw a guy with a lumia 920 at a concert I went to recently. Most phones I see are iphones (mostly 4/s still) or galaxy s2/3, the nexus 4 is pretty rare too I've only seen one other person with it.
I've only seen them here at work (HTC HD7 on WP7). It was my first smart phone and I liked it until I got my iPhone 4S. I'd happily use a WP8 phone if I had to, but I prefer iOS.
