Ha I thought I was done with GAS when I collected a similar Nikon collection. Just started on Leicas, and now trying to sell off some lesser used Nikon gear...

I have a shirt that says:

I LOVE
when
MY WIFE
doesn't notice new photography gear.

You're missing the sharpest wide angle lens in the Nikon arsenal. 35mm 1.8 fx. Unlike the 28mm it doesn't focus shift.

I had a collection like yours but I downsized to just:

Nikon D600 with 35mm/ 85mm 1.8g's
Nikon D5300 with 18-105mm

I used to have the holy trinity and 24mm, 28mm, 50mm and 105mm macro.

Got a bit too heavy to lug around.

2 lenses I'm sort of curious about but can't afford currently: 300mm f/4 PF and the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 zoom.

Wow you can strap those all over yourself like go pros and set to take pics every second and just walk into a wedding and become their photographer whether they like it or not.

That's because he had to use his Canon.

Heh actually i used my coolpix p500 for this one. Canon wasn't charged at the time, p500 was. This was originally quickly thrown together since my wifes friend wanted to see my collection. Sharing it with AT was a bonus!

hot damn! why the hell do you need 5 bodies?! I can understand 3 max, if you're an event photographer - 2 main and 1 backup.

Why so much crap and still no good body/lens???

I am serious, do you need 4 backups for your wedding gigs?

Photo hardware fetish? I am sure most of AT folks get impressed by let say 24-70, but please don't push it too much.

Lenses, I can understand. But why not get rid of the lesser cameras once you acquire their bigger siblings? the D3200 and D5000 have no place with you now.

And that second D600 - please tell me you got it on a buy-one-get-one deal?!?

Even lenses, I presume the last two are kit lenses that will get sold off with the aforementioned bodies? And a 50mm f/1.8 is useless when you have a f/1.4 available.

Does your wife balance this with a walk-in shoe closet or something ?

Nice!

One big problem I have cause I have a dozen lenses between AF and MF ones, is that it's so hard to decide which to take with you. You keep telling yourself you should "just in case" and it quickly becomes a bag full of half a dozen lenses. And then you find out you only used 2, maybe 3 of them. Rinse and repeat for each trip.
