Finally played a game that's pushing me to buy a console.

About to go head out and pick up my first console. Getting a slightly use 120gig ps3 slim off craigslist then heading to bb to get MW2!

Damn that game is so much fun. played the game for the first time at my gf's older sister's wedding. The groom and I, along with all his best men were late to the ceremony because we were so caught up playing multiplayer. To top things off, the bride didn't even get mad and was actually jealous cause she's a gamer too!

Aside from the blueray player, what other things can you do with your console?

i thought about that but cause a new bundle system is still cheaper then a used ps3 unit but the blue ray player is something i want also.

Well according to the manual of my BDP-320, it's BLU-RAY. I guess they are excited about it.

I absolutely love how people are going off on one small problem Sony had that fixed itself, whilst Microsoft has an ongoing problem for what...nearing four and a half years now that they have yet to fix...as well as this:

If you want a Blu-Ray player OP, the PS3 works well. I'm a 360 guy myself but they're both good consoles. I hope you enjoy it! Check the Official MW2 thread and find a few of our PS3 guys to game with!

I have both and I love my PS3 but PSN is nowhere near as good as Live. You get what you pay for and I think it shows but as you said, to each his own.

And just as Sony has done a lot to fix this error, Microsoft has replaced millions of consoles free of charge since officially acknowledging the problem. But solutions don't sell in the news.

The main thing is simply using it as a media hub. You can stream media from your PC or a USB drive as well as download movies from the PSN store on the console. If you have Netflix, there's an option to stream movies directly on your PS3 as well.
