Finally picked out a wedding ring

After months of putting it off, I finally decided on a wedding ring today. The future wife said if I didn't decide by Friday the wedding was off 🙂 LOL. Anyway, I like heavier metal and don't care for platinum much, and didn't want to go with the standard yellow gold. I have a 18k white gold thumb ring which looks like poop now from all the scratches, so began my quest to find myself the perfect wedding ring. I started looking at titanium rings, but didn't like how light they felt. I stumbled on Tungsten Carbide rings by accident (actually had no idea they made jewelry from the stuff) and they are one of the hardest (and scratch resistant) metals. Plus, they are heavy which i like. I decided on a ring by ArtCarved becaise they offer lifetime warrenty and more importantly sizing changes (you can't have tungsten resized, you need a new ring). The exact ring isn't on their website, but this one I found on the web is pretty close. Pic of ring I personally liked the two tone and thought it looked like a wedding ring, the girl could take it or leave it, but hey I have to wear it.

$680. Which seems about average. I am sure I could have gotten a better deal online, but with these things "authorized dealer" means alot.

That looks very nice.

When I was choosing my band... I was looking for something unique.

I ended up getting my father-in-law's wedding band-- which was a nice gold-braided band. It looks a little like this like this (except mine is all yellow gold).

Nope, look at the pic.

If you are able to get a woman to marry you with a ring with no diamond, you must be the greatest salesman in the world.
My fiancee's wedding band is just platinum. Her engagement ring has a diamond. I believe that's fairly normal.

I'm confused now. She has two rings?
Not yet. She will in 3 months though. The engagement ring is from when I proposed and the wedding band she'll get during the ceremony.

yes. Typically one with a diamond for the engagement, and the one without for the wedding. They go next to eachother on the same finger. AND, the ring/band I was talking about is for ME.

they always get 2 rings. how old are you?

one is the engagement ring (the one w/ the diamond) then one at the actual wedding is the wedding band (the one w/o the diamond)

Edit: by the way OP thats a sweet ass ring. i think you and i have similar tastes.

Don't most married women? My mom wore both of hers until they wore each other down so much that one was like a blade.
