I was thinking about buying a house...but since I'm not 100% sure I am going to be here in a year, decided to get an apartment. Finally got an apartment on my own without any roommates.

Don't get me wrong...I always got along with my roommates and enjoyed them helping with rent/utilities...but it is nice to be on your own.

And to top it off, my girlfriend's response was... "now we can be as loud as we want wherever we want". So quality!

 
And now you have neighbors. I love my townhouse - it's just me and all this space. The bitch who lives next to me is my only problem.

My biggest problem is my music. It's always loud, and my subwoofer pisses her off. Plus, she works third shift, so she sleeps when I'm awake.

Heh... we did that in our first apartment. The upstairs neighbors came down after a couple weeks and asked if we could try to be "less enthusiastic."

Yeah...had the similar problem with my sound system at my last apartment... hopefully these walls will be a little thicker.

Have had my own apartment for 6 months now.
Was very glad I made the move. Only downside is I live on the second floor.
So my subwoofer is going to waste right now.

It is nice to have your own pad. You can keep it as clean or as dirty as you like.
I never considered myself a neat freak until I had roommates. I am that uppity, stuffy roomie you all dread.
 
I love living by myself. I've been on my own for about a month now, and since I'm on an end unit, the only person next to me is my cool-as-hell neighbor, the local HS band teacher. 😀

in the words of Chris Rock...she'll be making plenty of "pvssy payments", so I really dont't care... 🙂

I currently stay over her place all the time...and I don't pay the bills there either...at least now we'll have the whole place to ourselves.
