Wow looks way, way better with AO.
That was a nice shot and really brings out the AO.

According to several people in the HardOCP forums it is producing crashes and BSODs. Maybe we all need to wait for a patch from Remedy.

Thread Hijack of sorts:
Is AO enabled with Radeon cards or not? I haven't seen anything in regards to this. If there is now for GeForce cards and not Radeons, then Nvidia has an advantage for the time being. This then spurs the additional question of if Radeons do not have AO in Diablo 3 now, will they in the future?

Good explanation.
If a game has in-game support :HBAO SSAO, it's preferable to implement there, if not through NV control panel.
I can't answer the radeon question.
These drivers suck. They don't fix old games or take care of the TDR bug from what I've heard.
I wish nvidia and AMD would go out of business for making such shitty drivers. It's ridiculous really.

Yawn, you hope for anarchy ? Almost everyone is online, and gives opinions. My experience is excellent with all recent Nvidia drivers. Making a sweeping comment after one day of reading experience with this day old driver and making outrageous condemnation is not helpful.

So do these updates similarly improve performance on say a GTX 480?
Check custom install, then check clean install, then check physX , graphic driver, if you use 3D, select the 2 -3d options, and if you want update features , check update. If you use the audio out from the hdmi port of the video card you can update that driver as well. If you are using motherboard audio , then don't select the audio driver. I have the gpu card audio device disabled in device manager, so I don't even see the option to install a audio driver.
Is this after you uninstall the old drivers or do you not have to do that -- hence the clean install ?
I actually got a small performance improvement on my GTX260 SP216.So do these updates similarly improve performance on say a GTX 480?
Chrome youtube videos give "drive stopped responding errors" Even tried the old "change power performance to maximum" fix as before and still messed up.
