It really comes down to the feel of the camera and what you'll primarily be taking pictures of (indoor or outdoor). The fuji excels indoor, the canon excels outdoor. The fuji has face detection, which is really neat to see in action. The canon has image stabilization, which will help when you're on the long end of the zoom (and not using a tripod).
Prices... they are about the same price right now, but the fuji has a $50 MIR.
I wouldn't sweat the memory part too much as far as price goes, there's really not *that* much difference. However the performance of the memory seems to limit the fuji just a little bit on the continuous shooting mode.
