Finally made 1st black friday purchase

So it's pre-black friday? EIther way, I love online shopping better then going to B&M stores

Picked up a garmin 250 for $99 and the radeon 4850 for $119 AR

Anyone else going to B&M stores or doing it all online? I might head to home depot or lowes to pick up a cheap air compressor, I'm shuddering at the thought though.

not a chance my friend. Standing in line for 5 hours to save $200? I'd rather work for an extra 5-10 hours the week before.

You could've gone tonight and picked one up at Home Depot. All the Black Friday specials should be on the floor and for sale at any Home Depot that is still open.

I went to best buy in the AM before work last friday at around 6:30 and made it out at 7:30 with time to get to work. Somehow I doubt that would happen this year.

But you are right, if you get to work early you can make more $ with overtime =)

I have to work Friday, so no physical shopping.

When I say I have to work, I mostly just mean "I have to be in the building," so I imagine there'll be some online shenanigans.

Not true. My wife tried to grab one of the $50 Christmast trees in Peoria, IL tonight after a hot deal post saying that the black Friday price was valid today. No luck. Same retail price of $199.

I did my shopping last Saturday at Microcenter's Pre-BF sale. Got a 32" 1080p HDTV for $399 and a bunch of 7" Digital Photo Frames for $40/each.

Then your store didn't do their ad actions (adjustment in the computer that will have the registers ring the correct price) until tonight/after close. My store did, considering I'm the one who did them.

Some items may not go through until Friday morning though if they decided to hold some of the ad actions back. Off-hand, the only thing that I remember that wasn't done by the time I left was the Blue Ember Grill. But it seems like that did indeed come through and it wasn't tagged properly.
