What you need is a silent motion sensor, with some kind of inconspicuous indicator at your computer, like maybe just an extra LED on the case that just looks like another HDD LED. If you want to get really crazy, hook it to your serial port somehow, and program an app that'll automatically load up some benign, quick-loading, always-on-top program.
