Sorry to say.... this is the best Monitor I have ever used.
My Sony G500 was damn nice too in its day, but the size of an air conditioner......
The NEC LCD20WGX2 sat on my office floor for a week , was waiting for my new rig to arrive and I didnt want to taint the experience.
Taking into consideration that I just upgraded to a kickass rig ..
This monitor is just Awesome. And thats coming from somone who was using a Sony 21'' crt.
So far, the games I have played it with are Half Life 2, Galactic Civ II and F.E.A.R. And tonight.. Oblivion!!!!!!!!! No ghosting or dead pixels that I can see.
I cant believe I used to be reluctant to go widescreen. I love this resolution. 1600X1200 frankly didnt float my boat with games, not that I didnt like it but took a but-load of horsepower to support it with high settings.
The thing that impresses me the most I think are the black levels. I never saw a monitor that looks this sweet with darker backrounds. The colors are brilliant.
I can go into detail later after playing with this bad boy some more, I am also getting used to my new rig
It does however have one flaw, one weakness...the one thing that might be keeping you from getting it and thats the price. I got a decent deal at buy.com ( rebate, and it dropped $30. Also shipped in 3 days ). Or maybe you think 20'' wide screen is to small but damn... Sitting 1 foot away from a screen... I honestly wouldnt want anything bigger, or I would need a couch and a remote control... oh wait thats my Living room!
