2.5" straight through mandrel bent piping from the headers back, no cats, no mufflers...sounds pretty wicked, quieter than i thought it would be until you go WOT, then it's loud as hell but sounds nice, has a nice deep throaty rumble...sound clips soon hopefully if i can find the usb cord for my camera.

the 0-60 timed at a little under 8.5 seconds... not to bad for nothing but exhaust and a pulley, running at 15psi right now according to my cheapo boost gauge...

sucks though, cant drive it now until i replace the upper rad hose..

just thought i would share as i know there's a few other ATOTers who have super coupes.

specs say they should do 0-60 in 7.4, for the manual tranny birds...

i dont know why im still turning a slower speed then even a stock one, mine is an AUTO, and it does need plugs and wires pretty badly, so maybe when i get those changed it will make a difference.... other than that, i dont know what else to check.. it runs fine besides the obvious need for plugs and wires.... i'll do that as soon as possible, it looks like it's gonna be a chore as the motor is cramped in there so tight..

because of the 02 censors? i read something about that...

Yeap, all of the sensors, from the ones on the fuel injection system, the intake system, the EGR, etc, etc .. all have to be running right with the ECU to make sure fuel/air delivery is correct. With the radically modified exhaust setup, it's pretty likely that you removed pretty much all the backpressure, which throws the whole setup out of whack.

You might need an engine tune to make that kind of setup deliver some decent performance, and certainly it would help to get some quality plugs/wires in there. Have you run a cylinder compression test? Also, those old slushboxes can be a PITA, and ~1+ second difference between auto and manual was not unusual in the least.

If your auto takes a dump, you might look into grabbing a M5OD-R2, the stock manual tranny. They're not that uncommon.

I'm unfamiliar with ford ecu's in particular but most oem ecu's are not that different.
At WOT, not all sensors are used. The ecu runs in open loop mode and the O2 sensor is ignored. You don't want to be at stoich at wot, the system runs on a predefined map and the ecu has no idea what the afr actually is.
Something like bad knock sensor can have detrimental affect on wot performance. Possibly even too much boost (load) can have negative affects where the ecu will retard timing and dump fuel to protect the engine.
The slush box also doesn't help and your lauching technique is also crucial.

If you're running more than stock boost a retune with a WBO2 sensor is always your best bet.

The exhaust shouldn't make a radical change in the ECU readings.

If you want it faster for cheap - get a reprogrammed ECU or chip, new. quality plugs and wires (run a slightly colder plug if you are running higher than stock boost levels), The Bosch wires that Autozone sells are great for the $$$.

Are you running the stock pulley on the SC? Check ALL of your vacuum lines and make sure none are leaking. If you have a leak in a forced inducion car - your MAP/boost ECU sensor will not report the correct pressure, and may not adjust the fuel correctly. Especially check the hose going to our fuel pressure regulator. Listen close and try to hear if it's pinging/knocking at boost.
