Old antec truepower430 took out my mobo and 1 DVD-rom drive. I was lucky it didnt take anything more expensive out =). Anyway, right now im using an Antec neopower480. It seems to be running quite hot, and i'm a little scared of antec now. Should i take this back and buy a PC power and cooling?

If you can afford it, go with the PC P&C units. Some here will yap that they are just too expensive and that a $75 unit is "just as good" but, frankly, you generally get what you pay for, and the power supply IS the most critical part of a rig.
