Joy.

I just got my passport (I just turned 18 not too long ago) in the mail. It's kinda funny, but cool at the same time. Now the government will have yet another handle on me, but its not like I can really run, anyhow.

I got it so that I could visit a friend in St. Petersburg for a week surrounding New Years. Now that I have it, I can finally buy my ticket (from Jacksonville, ~780$. Ouch, but relatively not bad) and then work out this whole visa thing.

Just two days ago, I actually didn't know the difference between a passport and a visa. Americans are funny like that. It'll be the first time that I'll be out of the country (no, Canada doesn't count).

Sounds like fun. I'd like to go there sometime, in the warm season of course.

I love St Petersburg, been there twice for 3days each (and 3days in Moscow).

Careful of the subway though, last time the a bunch of the students I was with got pickpocketed.
